There are certain vocalists we feel we know from the first time we hear them sing - Lisa Roti is that kind of singer. Franz and Lisa had a wonderful relationship that extended beyond just the few gigs they played together or his participation in her debut album, "Comes Love". Franz took Lisa under his musical wing and helped her decide where she wanted to take her enormous talent. Lisa thought of Franz as her mentor, her teacher, her friend and he thought of her as family.
Lisa was there to show her love for Franz at his 95th birthday gala in November, 2007 and again at his memorial service in May.
Lisa has that rare combination of sweetness, sexiness, charm, and vocal prowess to bring the “old standards” such as “I Remember You” and “Exactly Like You” new life. She does a very unusual rendition of “If I Only Had A Brain” with tremendous success and her vocal phrasing has you enjoying tunes you’ve heard before in a whole new way. Lisa is joined by a great group of musicians on this album.
In addition to Franz’s legendary tenor sax, Lisa is accompanied on "Comes Love" by a very talented group of experienced musicians.
